John Venn was a logician and philosopher who is best known for his contribution to mathematics in the form of the Venn diagram. Venn diagrams explain the relation of two sets through the use of overlapping circles. The simplest of Venn diagrams, two overlapping circles, in effect, represented the American political climate of the past century. One of the circles represented the Republican Party, while the other circle represented the Democratic Party. However, something has changed in recent years - the two circles have steadily been moving apart. In response, a growing number of independent-minded Americans have become disenchanted and feel that neither party adequately represents their values, beliefs or political will. As a result of the movement of each political party to their extremes, the current political Venn diagram circles appear to have lost touch with one another, thereby creating a void between the two major American political parties. This void is now being filled with that growing number of disenchanted independent-minded American voters who no longer feel adequately represented by either party. We call these voters - the Venn voters. This website is dedicated to Venn voters and the issues that matter to them. In the future the number of Venn voters will undoubtedly grow. The question for you to contemplate is - Are you Venn?
